At the bottom of each slide the acronym C.T.T.F.M. appears.
This is taken from II Timothy 2:2 which states: "And the things that
thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same Commit
Thou
To
Faithful Men, who shall be able to teach others also."

What is essentially different from the following statements?
"The Bible Contains the Word of God."
"God Did Not Promise To Preserve His Word."
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
It is my opinion that both statements lead one to the same conclusion.
That conclusion being:
One cannot know what God has said because no written record
exists.
Dr. D. A. Waite

The DBS has always maintained a strong position on the King James Bible
and its underlying Hebrew and Greek Texts, and has exposed improper and
defective Hebrew, Greek, English, and other language texts.
Dr. Denis Gibson
London, Ontario
Instead of trembling at the Word of God the modern day textual critic
is trite with the Word of God.
Daniel Waite

In today's culture few churches attempt to uphold the absolute standard
of Scripture. God's Word is seldom taught correctly nor is it taught
thoroughly. You must make every effort must be made to teach God's people
God's Word.
Dr. Bob Doom
Ashville, North Carolina
Are we going to turn to scholarship to determine the Canonical
Scriptures?
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Scholarship is not the proper remedy nor is it the proper prescription
for the dilemmas faced by man. The genuine cure for mankind is to stop
wresting the Scripture and start resting in the Scripture. This can never
be achieved by poking holes in it.
Dr. Gary La More
Toronto, Ontario
I am fearful of education. Because . . . the Devil start[ed] out under
the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Like Paul commanded Timothy, the local church must commit the things
they have learned to faithful men so that they may teach others also.
Biblical education takes place where the Bible is exalted. If the church
is to survive it must feed the sheep themselves. And not totally rely on
others.
Dr. Michael Bates
Newington, Connecticut
Truth is not established by consensus even the consensus of good men.
Truth is established by Divine Mandate. Truth is established on the basis
of the virtue of the Word of God itself.
Dr. H. D. Williams
Cleveland, Georgia
The opposite of integrity is corruption. Corruption is like rust. It
spreads and destroys unless measures are instituted to control it.
Daniel Waite

Certain physical injuries hamper blood flow which in some cases invite
gangrene. Unfortunately, spiritual injuries hamper spiritual blood flow as
well which in some cases lead to spiritual gangrene. Today's church has
been plagued with a severe case of gangrene and does not even know it.
Dr. Allen Johnson
Hanes City, Florida
Will you stand for purity or will you settle for popularity? Will you
stand for truth or will you settle for tradition? Will you be a contending
saint or a compromising spy? I hope you will be a Joshua and fight for the
"Promised Land" of Textual Purity [in any language].
Dr. D. A. Waite

We agree with much of their Fundamentalism but they are off on their
Bibliology.
Daniel Waite

The present hour demonstrates a gradual attempt to reconstruct the once
demolished philosophical bridge between lower criticism and higher
criticism.
The scholars who once refuted higher criticism are know secretly
romancing it by their bold claims that God did not preserve His Word

I have seen so much that is not right with the Septuagent, and yet it
is the manuscript that so many of these modern text people go to, to
correct the Hebrew
Dr. Robert Barnett
Grayling, Michigan
Liberals come along and just reverse everything they put down on paper
[and] take a position an hundred-eighty degrees contrary to it.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
A doctrinal statement or a creed are meaningless unless supported by a
God's Word. If one does not have God's Word the creed cannot be deemed
trustworthy and consequently man is set a drift at sea without a rudder or
sail. Denial of verbal preservation is nothing more than a form of
existentialism.
Dr. Bob Doom
Asheville, North Carolina
Three problems
Who the God of the Bible really is?
What is the Gospel [and] what is the Good Book?
Are we going to wait for papa to tell us what the canon is?
Pastor Roy Magnuson
Taylors, South Carolina
Historical revisionism is a great plight across this land, not just in
academia in the public schools but I am afraid it has also infiltrated in
the religious circles for a long time.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Loyalty, to anything other than the preserved Word of God, though
admirable can be detrimental.
Dr. Don Jasmin
West Branch, Michigan
The greatest problem we have in the Bible Text issue is the problem of
neutralism.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
By being so bold as not to take a position on an issue of such
magnitude of Bible preservation is effectively yielding to the
stipulations of the modernists of days gone by.
Pastor David Hollowood
New Holland, Pennsylvania
Modernism is a parasite which draws such vitality as it possesses from
the dogmas which it denies.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
If the Critical Text people were to restore God's Word how would they
know it?
Mr. Douglas Nielsen
Shoreview, Minnesota
I have been misled and lied to by scholars.
Dr. Denis Gibson
London, Ontario
Is it not obvious that they do not really believe God has been able to
preserve His Word, as He promised? Is it no wonder, that many
"evangelical" pulpits are filled by men who have little regard for the
"one jot or one tittle" of Scripture.
Dr. David Brown
Oak Creek, Wisconsin
The Roman Catholic Church kept Europe in the Dark Ages by hindering the
translation and distribution of the Bible in the language of the people.
They put the priesthood between the Bible and the people.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Unfortunately it appears as though today's Modern Fundamentalist or
Fundamoderns are doing much more detriment than the Roman Church
historically did. The Roman Church new the power of God's Word but the
Fundamoderns deny God's Word has any power because they teach it has been
destroyed.
Dr. Bob Doom
Asheville, North Carolina
The most terrible thing about deception is you do not realize it is
going on.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
Scripturally, Christ recognized the preserved word of the Hebrew Old
Testament [in] Matthew 4:4, and affirmed the inspiration and preservation
of the consonants and vowel points in Matthew 5:18.
Dr. Don Jasmin
West Branch, Michigan
The truth of verbal preservation is a divinely revealed eternal truth
that is part of the faith once delivered to the saints.
Pastor Charles Griggs
|Swanno, North Carolina
Far higher is the fact that the Bible is a Spiritual Book. We must be
careful that we do not try to over simplify or over complicate the Words
of God; the Bible is a Spiritual Book.
Dr. Robert Barnett
Grayling, Michigan
We worship the Word of God Incarnate not the Word of God
Inscripturated. But we only know Him through faith in His Word.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
God's Word must be read and studied. The Fundamodernist does not have
God's Word-consequently any creed or doctrinal statement that they embrace
is effectively meaningless. They have philosophically merged with Harvard
and Princeton.
Dr. Gary La More
Toronto, Ontario
When it comes to translation, (and I think you understand this,) we can
not take our King James Bible and translate it into another foreign
language. That will not work; that is not how it is done. That is not how
our King James translators did it. They went back to the proper Hebrew
text of the Old Testament and translated out of those proper texts; and
this has to be done in the Spanish world.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Local nationals must compile reliable lexicons, so that, proper
translation can take place from proper original texts. It is the
responsibility of the local church to train and educate.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
Inspiration is the process whereby the Holy Spirit led the writers of
Scripture to record accurately His very words; the product of this process
was the inspired original.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
GRAPHE always refers to the autographical Scripture; whereas, GRAMMA
sometimes refers to the non-canonical literature.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
If THEOPNEUSTOS
is translated as an attributive adjective, [an attributive adjective modifies the noun
with which it is associated, whereas a predicate adjective asserts
something about the noun] then "is"
would come after THEOPNEUSTOS and be rendered "every God inspired Scripture
is profitable," suggesting that some Scripture might not be inspired.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
Some Bible groups and so on want to talk about Scripture and use [the]
word THEOPNEUSTOS or inspiration in a non-technical way and then
they talk about an inspired King James, [or a non-English Bible] like Ruckman does, they are wrong at that
point because here they are trying to look at a verse that is used in a
very technical way with a very technical word and then they use this
technical word in a non-technical way and they say translations can be
inspired just as the original. And to hold that position, which would be a
Ruckman position and others as well, is just as bad as saying every
Scripture inspired.
Dr. H. D. Williams
Cleveland, Georgia
It is well known that salt was used in the Old Testament times to
purify the skin of babies (Ezekiel
16:4). Implicitly salt represents the
pure words of God (Psalm 12:6)
that purify.
Pastor David Hollowood
New Holland, Pennsylvania
We fail to go after the issues that are going to cut us off at the
knees, that are going to destroy us.
Dr. Gary La More
Toronto, Ontario
If you can not stand with the King James Bible, then you are not a
Fundamentalist.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
The Fundamodernist has seceded from the Fundamentalist camp when they
fired the first shot by bold denial of the of Bible preservation.
Dr. H. D. Williams
Cleveland, Georgia
In these last days there is a concerted effort to usurp the belief in
preservation of the Words of Scripture based on the assumption by
rationalists that most of God's Words in the manuscripts were corrupted,
intentionally and unintentionally.
Dr. H. D. Williams
Cleveland, Georgia
The "scholars" base their attack on the preserved Words of God using
one of the following options.
1. God's Words have not been preserved.
2. Textual scholars need to do a lot of restoring, conjecturing and
editing of God's Words, because they have not been perfectly
preserved.
3. Many of God's Words were lost for approximately 1,500 years and
rediscovered fortuitously by researchers. The manuscripts rediscovered
are "the oldest and best."
4. There is no "clear" statement by Scripture about how the Words
were preserved.
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
Since the fundamondernist does not believe in Bible preservation, then
any creed or doctrinal statement is meaningless in its affirmation.
Whether the statement is 9.6 words, 96, words, 960 words or 9,600 words.
Without an absolute standard, doctrine can not be established.
Dr. Joel Grassi
New Britain, Connecticut
Many of the arguments that he [an
elder at the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall]
gave me are arguments that Fundamentalist use against the Textus
Receptus and against the King James Bible and I wondered if I was
[sic]
talking with a Jehovah Witness or if I was [sic]
talking with a popular Fundamentalist.
Dr. Don Jasmin
West Branch, Michigan
The battle for the preserved Word is facing its greatest test primarily
not by unbelieving apostates from without but by undefending affirmers
from within.
Dr. Denis Gibson
London, Ontario
He [Robert L. Auden] too says the Hebrew is unclear, . . . but then he
boldly affirms what it certainly must mean.
Dr. Thomas Stouse
Newington, Connecticut
The Lord God created Adam and gave him a working vocabulary and
capability for language.
Dr. Michael Bates
Newington, Connecticut
I contend that the average pastor, who is willing to study the matters
involved in this issue and study hard, can understand what is at stake .
[He] in turn can explain these matters to Spirit indwelt men and women of
God who sit in the pews of local bible-believing churches.
EBS Student - '75 BBC Grad

I started comparing what I was translating in Isaiah forty with the
Septuagant and I was astounded! Talk about adding and subtracting! You
just take the one chapter and you would be amazed at the additions and
subtractions found in the Septuagant with no apparent reason.
Dr. Michael Bates
Newington, Connecticut
I submit to you that pastors and church people can understand these
issues and they must understand these issues; and I have witnessed this
first hand.
Dr. Thomas Strouse
Newington, Connecticut
Samuel Gipp argued at length that individuals had to learn English in
order to be saved. That is pure Ruckmanism and you need to realize that
Samuel Gipp is a Ruckmanite. Some people are citing him and he is not
really in our camp. So we need to realize that.
Dr. Bob Doom
Asheville, North Carolina
The para-church organizations-if they rightly function-are the
handmaids of the churches. In other words, we come to assist not to
dictate, we come [to] help and not to take any authority over a local
church.
Dr. Michael Bates
Newington, Connecticut
It is my contention that this matter of the bible issue that we are
talking about is a local church matter and the local church has not only a
vested interest in this matter, but has also a divinely mandated leading
role to play both in its articulation and its defense.
Pastor Charles Griggs
Swannano, North Carolina
People are being starved of the Word of God. The Word of God is
depleted and changed in this version [NKJV].
Pastor Charles Nichols
Ramsey, Minnesota
I believe it is one of the real issues of the day that we need to stand
firmly on. I believe it is an issue that needs some division on. If people
do not believe the Word of God, [then] that is a big enough reason for me
to divide from them!
Dr. Gary La More
Toronto, Ontario
My concern is that will our children have a Bible.
Dr. Russell Denis, Jr.
Greenwood, Indiana
In my mind I cannot fathom how somebody cannot be interested in the
Word of God. It is like a mechanic who works for Ford and he is not
interested in engines. Yet, that is his job and he really does not believe
the engine manual ...The Bible is the Word of God and we need to know why!
Daniel Waite
Collingswood, New Jersey
What is essentially different from the following statements?
"The Bible Contains the Word of God."
"God Did Not Promise To Preserve His Word."
Psalm 119:73-80
Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, that I
may learn thy commandments. They that fear thee will be glad when they see
me; because I have hoped in thy word. I know, O LORD, that thy judgments
are right, and that thou in faithfulness hast afflicted me.
Let, I pray thee, thy merciful kindness be for my comfort, according to
thy word unto thy servant. Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may
live: for thy law is my delight. Let the proud be ashamed; for they
dealt perversely with me without a cause: but I will meditate in
thy precepts. Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have
known thy testimonies. Let my heart be sound in thy statutes; that I be
not ashamed.
